Components of the central chain
The central-chain consists of four basic elements, theinner flat link, the pin, the outer flat links and the bukketmounting brackets. The chain is designed for convenientassembly and disassembly and can beopened, shortened or lengthened easily by simplybending the chain links at any point without tools.

A favourable distribution of power and tolerancecompensation are achieved by the bolt bearings on theouter flat link, which is also designed with sleeves. Thebuckets are connected by means of heavy bucket brakketson both sides, which are pushed onto the sleevesof the outer flat links. As a further extension of theservice life, when the chain is worn on the running side,the chain can be returned 180° to run on the unusedside to achieve maximum service life from each chain.
