The self-fitting snow chain from RUD
Centrax pulls itself onto the wheel when the vehi-cle starts moving
Aalen: A snow chain that fits itself onto the wheel automatically will proba-bly remain a dream. Nevertheless, the Centrax from chain specialist RUD comes nearer to fulfilling this ideal than any other classic snow chain. Once it has been attached to the wheel in seconds by a single action, the Centrax pulls itself onto the wheel when the vehicle starts moving.
The Centrax has always been particularly suitable for vehicles with very little space under the wheel arches because it does not include any parts on the inner side of the wheel. Due to it’s self-tensioning, there is very little risk of the chain links lifting too far off the tread and striking anything. After all, many automobile manufacturers sell the Centrax as an original accessory, mainly for their high-performance, front-wheel drive models.
The automobile industry and car drivers also value the Centrax for its well-balanced performance on icy roads - ensured by hardened steel studs embedded in plastic elements. These are, in turn, integrated into the chain mesh and have extremely high resistance to wear. This automatic snow chain from RUD lasts at least as long as a good conventional chain.
Easy basic fitting
The automatic fitting system of the Centrax requires an attachment point on the wheel hub. This consists of an adapter, which is best fitted on one of the wheel studs when changing to winter tyres. It can then remain in place throughout the entire winter. The automatic Centrax is then attached to this adapter - in seconds by one single action.
The permanent tensioning arrangement only has to be set once on a practical tension strap. No tools are needed.
The size of the storage bag has also been increased to make it easier to carry the Centrax
