The RUD Group

RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG was founded in 1875 by Carl Rieger and Friedrich Dietz in Swabian Aalen. Since Friedrich Dietz’s departure, the company has been in the sole possession of the Rieger family who have systematically developed and expanded the organisation into today‘s internationally successfully positioned RUD family business.

Today, the RUD Group is a global player. Its main development and production facility in Aalen, offers future-oriented solutions with chain systems and components for a wide range of applications. For hoisting, pulling, driving and conveying, our RUD hoist chains, RUD lifting means and RUD conveyor systems are a guarantee of quality, innovation and safety.

RUD and Erlau non-skid chains offer innovative fitting systems to ensure safe driving on snow, icy roads and even on the toughest off-road terrain. RUD and Erlau tyre protection chains protect the tyre treads and sidewalls on earth moving machines. Our new developed Barriertech System protect humans and their belongings against natural disaster.

Our Erlau Open Space Equipment (Outdoor furniture) from our subsidiary company Erlau AG, which is also located at Aalen, offers elegant, attractive Seating solutions in attractive design and a range of outdoor fitness equipment suitable for the elderly and the infirm. Our Erlau‚ Access 4 All Concepts comprise mobile, wheelchair and healthcare bed appropriate table beds with accessories for seniors such as safety and grab rails for the sanitary sector.

Our RUD family has an annual turnover of 170 million euros, and currently has over 1,500 employees working in our production facilities, and sales offices located in over 120 countries worldwide.
