The Arktik is the right choice for professional users who need the greatest possible traction. It has an extremely dense chain mesh, and angled links which have a significantly stronger grip than conventional chain links. The angled links are connected by rings, and laid out so that they stand at an optimal right angle to the ground.

Specialist for winter road clearance

Snow clearance is one of the Arktik's special fields. This application depends heavily on traction. After all, the scraper blade has to push large quantities of snow out of the way. Because chains on snow ploughs and snow blowers are often in continuous use, its high mileage and long service life are strong arguments for the cost-effective Arktik chain. And drivers appreciate a welcome side-effect of the dense honeycomb chain mesh: It runs particularly smoothly and makes strenuous shift work much easier.

The Arktik is mainly used on the heaviest vehicles. On the other hand, the Alligator Plus is chiefly used on medium-sized vehicles. It covers a very wide range of tyre profiles. This chain has the same angled links as the Arktik, but has a different chain mesh pattern which is not as dense. Both chains have been developed by Erlau, a RUD Group company.

The Alligator Plus links ensure very good traction and optimal torque transmission. That makes this chain a general purpose, cost-effective item of equipment for municipal snow clearance. Drivers also appreciate its "sure-footed" running. The Alligator Plus runs particularly smoothly and has a very long service life for its class.

Although it has been specially designed for mid-sized commercial vehicles, the Alligator Plus also performs very well on heavy vehicles. Its good self-cleaning characteristics are just as advantageous in the forest as when driven on snow.
