The Trude Eipperle Rieger Foundation.

Artistic excellence and social responsibility.

As a company, we not only assume economic responsibility, but also social responsibility. This is the conviction behind the Trude Eipperle Rieger Foundation – an institution that promotes art and culture as essential pillars of a vibrant society.

The foundation was established in 1975 – at a time when access to existing cultural offerings was not a matter of course for everyone. The aim of the foundation is to promote artistic, scientific and social projects, support young talent and preserve cultural heritage.

The Trude Eipperle Rieger Foundation stands for artistic excellence, sustainable promotion and social commitment – values that have characterised RUD for generations.

50 years of promoting talent.

  • The Trude Eipperle Rieger Foundation pursues exclusively charitable and benevolent purposes. Its commitment is focussed on:
  • The promotion of education and the arts.
  • The promotion of science.
  • Strengthening cultural institutions at our company location in Aalen-Unterkochen.
  • The support of children’s villages.
  • Donations to other charitable organisations that pursue similar aims to those of the foundation.

Honoured: the Trude Eipperle Rieger Award.

One outstanding purpose of the foundation is the highly endowed Trude Eipperle Rieger Prize, which is awarded annually by the International Music Academy Schloss Kapfenburg. The award supports outstanding young musicians in furthering their artistic development – a strong commitment to promoting musical excellence.

Impulse for tomorrow: The legacy of Trude Eipperle-Rieger.

Trude Eipperle-Rieger (1908–1997) was one of the most important singers of bel canto. As a chamber singer in Baden-Württemberg and an honorary member of the Stuttgart State Opera, she delighted audiences for decades. Guest appearances took her to major European opera houses and to the festivals in Bayreuth and Salzburg. As the wife of RUD Managing Director Ernst Rieger, she was committed to supporting young artists. Her commitment lives on in the Trude Eipperle Rieger Foundation.
