RUD neXera: Faster lifting, faster maintenance

The maintenance of wind turbines is time-critical, cost-intensive and logistically demanding, especially with increasing hub heights of up to 200 metres. This is precisely where the new RUD neXera electric hoist comes in, taking speed, efficiency and safety to a new level.

With variable lifting speeds of up to 75 m/min and lifting capacities of up to 800 kg, RUD neXera is significantly faster than conventional solutions. Over a typical service cycle, the hoist can perform lifting and lowering operations up to four times faster.

This is made possible by the patented X-Drive chain drive, the centrepiece of the innovation. It not only ensures high speeds, but also reduces wear and increases operational safety. The design also prevents the chain from being damaged or sheared off, a clear plus for reliability in daily use.

However, the biggest advantage is evident in practice: maintenance work is significantly faster. While conventional hoists often require several hours for a lifting cycle, RUD neXera reduces this process to a fraction of the time. This not only saves valuable operating time, but also significantly reduces the costs per maintenance job.

At the same time, the system has been consistently designed with safety in mind. An integrated sensor enables precise positioning of the hook, while optional solutions such as a load eye provide additional load safety. This minimises risks for service personnel and increases operational safety in demanding operating environments.

The hoist also impresses in terms of ease of maintenance: the modular design enables components to be replaced quickly and makes servicing work considerably easier. Operating data is reliably recorded and can be used for inspections and documentation - an important advantage for operators and service teams.
