Baobab tyre protection chains.

Baobab was established in 2019 to create the need for local employment while providing our customers with durable tyre protection chains.

The Baobab factory is located in Gauteng and has three main workshops, each dedicated to a different step of the chain manufacturing process. In our main workshop, the rings are bent and the material is cleaned. The second workshop is used for the assembly of various chains, including the pressing of the centre rings and the final welding (final assembly). Quality control (QC by Baobab) takes place in the third warehouse. The finished products are also stored there on 400 square metres, ready for dispatch to our customers. Baobab can manufacture and supply chains in any size and tyre size required. Our steel is sourced from local suppliers in South Africa. To ensure that your customers receive only the best, our chains are manufactured in accordance with the required quality specifications of the German testing institute TÜV and at the same time in compliance with the South African quality control standard ISO 9001 and the safety measures according to OSH 4001 and OSH 4002.
