RUD Cares program 2025
At RUD, caring goes far beyond our products – it lives through the people who make a difference every day. We are proud to announce the second round of our RUD CARES volunteering program.
Since November 2025, employees worldwide once again had the opportunity to apply for RUD CARES. Through this initiative, RUD supports five social projects each financial year with €1,000 per project, honoring the personal and voluntary commitment of our colleagues. The annual application period runs from November 1 to December 31.
After careful review, the selection committee – consisting of members of the RUD Board of Directors and HR Management – has awarded the RUD CARES 2025 project funding to the following outstanding initiatives and colleagues:
• Thomas Weißenburger (RUD Unterkochen)
As First Chairman of BFV Lein-Rems e.V., Thomas is leading an environmental project to reintroduce a native strain of brown trout into the Rems River using eyed eggs – actively preserving biodiversity for future generations.
• Jürgen Rauwolf (RUD Unterkochen)
With great dedication, Jürgen organizes an annual camping trip for around 70 youth soccer players from SV Elchingen, creating unforgettable experiences and strengthening team spirit beyond the pitch.
• Patrick Biffart (RUD Unterkochen)
As Chairman of the carnival club Bettelsack-Narra Lauchheim e.V. 1982, Patrick supports local tradition and community life. His project focuses on new costumes for the Red Guard, a group of 20 young girls proudly representing the club.
• Jörg Houben (RUD Unterkochen)
A passionate youth coach at SC Selfkant in North Rhine-Westphalia, Jörg organizes a Girls’ Soccer Day each summer, encouraging girls aged 8–18 to discover their passion for football and teamwork.
• Miika Lundin (Erlatek, Finland)
Through the long-standing project “Christmas for Everyone”, Miika helps low-income families experience the joy and dignity of Christmas. Donations are used primarily to provide food vouchers – because every family deserves a warm and happy holiday season.
We warmly congratulate all award recipients and sincerely thank them for their extraordinary voluntary commitment. Your dedication reflects the true spirit of RUD CARES and makes a meaningful difference in communities around the world.
We look forward to sharing more updates on these inspiring projects in the upcoming Insider issue.
And of course, we are already excited for the next RUD CARES application round at the end of 2026!
